Mission Summary
The field team returned from Bynaus victorious, though not without a price. One of the team defected to Section 31 before falling into Starfleet custody. The overall bungling of Commander Mrazak who failed to anticipate the involvement of either Section 31 or the Black Nagus resulted in a few formal additions to Memory Theta. The new administrator, Akiva ben-Avram, lost his android daughter when she gave her life to save the Bynaus master computer network. Other new conscripts are putting down roots, voluntarily or otherwise.
Bynaus faces a new chapter of cultural evolution, but has otherwise been spared devastation yet again. Bynars may now function outside binary orientation if desired. Biynah, the saving android called the Variable by some, has become a revered figure for many Bynars.
In addition to very deep pockets, the Black Nagus seemingly is shown to have strings everywhere. Not only did Lurk have the Federation ambassador to Bynaus in his pocket, but it was revealed he also colluded with the Deputy Director of Internal Affairs and the secret Section 31 Director, Commodore Thaddeus Hightower. Black Nagus Lurk felt that Hightower failed to live up to his side of the bargain, and so exposed enough of his own operation to ensure Hightower’s arrest and imprisonment for treason. Is there anywhere that the Black Nagus’ influence can’t reach?
Section 31, treated as a decentralized banner for rogue Intelligence cell groups, has been eradicated in a manner which presents the Black Nagus as the enduring threat in the Game of Acquisitions. Screw S31.
