| Personal History | Born in Mumbai to scientific researchers, Nandi was afford the best academic upbringing one could expect from 24th century Earth and little else. She did not have many friends or relationships of any kind outside of her large family. Her love for discovery turned from academics to the practical, leading her to apply for Starfleet when the time came. The culture shock of the wider galaxy was a rush of adrenaline that Nandi has never quite gotten over. Committed to learning and experiencing everything one careful experiment at a time, Nandi hopes to one day become the confident individual in the likeness of her esteemed mother and father. Her worthwhile effort led to her being at the top of her class. For her senior cadet cruise, Nandi served aboard the USS Guangzhou with productive distinction. Due to the devastation within the Sol system, Nandi's graduation was a remote one where she was celebrated by the crew of her ship. Nandi made arrangements to take personal leave in order to meet her family who had taken refuge off-Earth, at the end of which she would be a permanent science office aboard the Guangzhou. Before she made it back to the ship, though, she received mysterious and unexpected orders to report to an undisclosed location to serve as personal adjutant to the chief science officer who had selected her by name. Time would eventually reveal, though, that Mrazak had merely selected her name at random from a list of honors graduates from the Science track. |
