Physical Description		Physical Description: Athletic build, well-muscled with a low percentage of body fat. He dresses simply and isn't at all interested in fashion. Physiology Note: Mesni are similar to the the shapeshifters of Isis III (https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Isis) in that they have two forms and are comfortable in both. For the Mesni, the second form is a wolf. + Sight/Hearing/Sense of smell are stronger in both forms than the human norm + Shifts are not painful though he does need to undress before doing so. + He is larger and more well muscled as a wolf than one would expect of Earth counterparts + Retains human intelligence in wolf-form though he can't speak - Fast metabolism that requires higher and more frequent protein intake

Personality & Traits

General Overview		Cyn has an innate understanding of the value of teamwork and is generally ready to take his place in the chain of command. He's clear-headed and strong-minded and willing to compromise. He is facially expressive and readily communicates his emotional state through body language, works hard at developing social relationships and works to restore harmony in his relationships when needed. He is both decisive and at times, aggressive, and can be quick to anger at perceived threats. He's never been one to shy away from hard work and is generally socially adept. Loyalty is key to his personality; in a personal relationship, he needs loyalty but is also readily willing to be loyal. Cyn has a natural hunter's instinct that is twinned with a strong, protective streak. Family matters to him as does the safety of the weak.

Personal History		Cyn grew up on Mesni IV, a Delta Quadrant, pre-warp world that was rich in natural resources. The Mesni are dual-natured, similar to the shapeshifters of Isis III, in that they can shift between two forms, humanoid and wolf. With no awareness that there was anyone in the universe beside themselves, they lived in harmony with nature, moving freely between their two states, and were by no means technologically advanced. Until the Orion Syndicate found them that is. Syndicate forces took the world in two days - The greatest fighters among the Mesni held out as long as they could but ultimately, were no match for energy weapons. Cyn would tell you, if you could get him to talk about those times, that he divided his childhood into two halves - before the Orions and after the Orions. Before was great; after was bad. And pretty much no one is going to get him to say more. Like all the Mesni, he did not thrive in captivity though he lasted longer than literally all of the adults. A natural hunter, he learned patience. He learned how to blend in and how to stalk his prey. By the time he was fourteen, he had, through his own efforts and more than a little bit of luck, engineered his escape. Cyn found himself in the Alpha Quadrant with no one and nothing. He was adopted into a foster home and spent the next four years with a couple that helped bring him up to speed. It wasn't until the Academy that he heard about the whole werewolf thing ... he found it ridiculous though he has made it a point to watch the vids and read some of the books.
